Public notice regarding incorrect information about the alleged activities of Rio Tinto

Contrary to recent inaccurate media reporting, Rio Tinto has never engaged in lithium exploration or project development in Portugal, either independently or through joint ventures. Additionally, our company was never connected to any lithium project in the Montalegre area.

Any suggestion otherwise is inaccurate and an attempt to cause reputational harm to our company.

Our code of conduct is clear: we do not offer, pay or accept bribes, no matter where we operate, what the situation or who is involved; such activities are strictly prohibited.
