Fencing of the houses and buildings in the ownership of the Rio Sava Exploration d.o.o.
As a landowner in the Jadar valley, we are held responsible for ensuring the safety of the houses and land in our ownership.
To ensure safety of our employees and the local community activities of installing the temporary fencing around houses and buildings in our ownership will start today and will be finalised over the next 12 weeks. The total number of houses and building structures to be fenced is approximately 280. All houses and buildings are empty, in a state of disrepair, and subject to impacts from weather, representing a risk to people who may enter the sites. No heavy machinery will be used.
Fencing activities will only occur during the workday hours, carried out by a qualified contractor using local employees who will undertake the work, and in alignment with Serbian laws, this activity is our obligation as the owner and doesn’t require any permits.
The safety of our people, local community and surrounding residents remains a priority for us and it is the main reason for performing this activity.
